Last year, NBA champion Mo Speights highlighted the former NBA players seeing action in the East Asia Super League Terrific 12 tournament.
In 2018, Speights’ Guangzhou Long Lions made it all the way to the Finals before being stopped by Japan’s Ryukyu Golden Kings.
This year’s Terrific 12 tournament is once again filled with NBA talent.
East Asia Super League will welcome Lance Stephenson to fold, who now plays for the Liaoning Flying Leopards.
Stephenson suited up with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers last year and before he brings his signature air guitar move to the CBA, he makes a quick stop in Macau for the Terrific 12.
Aside from Stephenson, other former NBA talents seeing action are Shabazz Muhammad and Pierre Jackson for the Shenzhen Aviators, Jameel Warney for the Seoul SK Knights, Aaron Jackson for Zhejian Guangsha, Jack Cooley for the Ryukyu Golden Kings, and KJ McDaniels for the TNT KaTropa.
The Terrific 12 is the FIBA recognized premier preseason event of the summer. hosted at Macao’s Tap Seac Multi-Sport Pavilion this 17-22 September, 2019.
The event features the top basketball clubs from China, Japan, South Korea and the Philippines all colliding in Macao for their shot at the title and lucrative cash prizes.
